THE SILENCE OF SARAMAGO

São Castro & António M Cabrita
Since 2011 the two dancers and choreographers São Castro and António M Cabrita have developed an artistic collaboration that proposes the crossing of interests and creative stimuli such as movement, image and sound. In 2015 they received the AUTHORS PRIZE in the Dance category - Best Choreography, from the Portuguese Society of Authors, with the piece “Play False” and were nominated for the same category in the following years 2016 and 2017. They were awarded the Silver Medal of Valor and Distinction by the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon.

SÃO CASTRO
São Castro began his training in dance at the Balleteatro Escola Profissional de Dança and Teatro do Porto (1995-1998). In 2002 she completed her degree in Dance at the Escola Superior de Dança, Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa, having been distinguished - by this educational institution - with the Silver Medal of Valor and Distinction (2016). ANTÓNIO M CABRITA
Graduated from the Escola Superior de Dança, Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa (2008), António M Cabrita graduated from the Dance School of the National Conservatory (2000), studied dance at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York (2001). Alongside his training in Dance, he studied film at the New York Film Academy (2001) and also took a course in Advertising Creativity at Restart, Lisbon (2006). (...)
