Corpo Coletivo Project premieres on December 20, following a three-month collaborative creation process involving 10 participants living in the city of Viseu and choreographer São Castro.
This first edition reflects a perspective on the city of Viseu not only as a geographical space, but as a lived, felt, and traversed territory of bodies. The city is no longer just a changing backdrop — it becomes a place of experiences and discoveries, where each citizen contributes with their own perception, memory, and imagination. The project proposes an encounter between people and places, exploring how the city can be understood through movement, the body, and collective presence.
In this project, by inviting residents to share their vision of Viseu, we have created a plural narrative: streets, people, scents, music, encounters, memories, and intimate small landscapes become meeting points between individual stories and collective experiences. The body and gesture become tools for observing and interpreting the city, revealing invisible layers of local memory, culture, and experience.
"Indo eu" was the title chosen by choreographer São Castro for this first edition of the Corpo Coletivo project. The title evokes the idea of a path and a discovery — like someone walking to recognize the place they inhabit. A simple, everyday gesture, yet full of meaning: a step moving forward, a body observing, a path being shaped.
